This is a Pommard of finesse thanks mainly to the fine-grained tannins

a little heady and quite ripe with black rather than red fruit

Very dry end

This is very Perrières in character

This is terrific and should make for great old bones if anyone has the patience to wait

Domaine, Pavelot Vintage:2020 This is a Pommard of(from Les Chaumes). Enough wood to merit pointing out is present on the vaguely exotic nose of apple compote, lychee, passion fruit and jasmine tea scents. There is both fine volume and power to the larger scaled flavors that coat the palate with dry extract on the sappy, moderately long and noticeably rustic finale. This delicious effort wont win any awards for refinement, but it should repay 5 to 8 years of keeping.
