URA WHISTLE - LARGE Zines PetitgrainThis collection of zoomorphic whistles are based on designs spanning ten centuries, made by Dilnoza Narzullaeva. A Tajik tradition dating back to Zoroastrian times, the whistle or Ajuba is known to call the spring rain. Blurring the boundary between toy, sculpture and ceremonial object, each little monster has its own make up and expression based on the local tradition of the artist who sculpts it.
