Georges Descombes Regnie 2023 Old Rioja Winemaker’s Notes:Possibly the most underrated of the truly great Beaujolais producers, Georges Descombes works alongside the Gang of Four crowd around Marcel Lapierre. His Regnie is the perfumed and exotic cru in his lineup all high toned red fruit, florals, and lift, made the same way as his serious bottlings: ambient yeasts, semi carbonic, only a tiny bit of sulfur. Organic, transparent, and brilliantly drinkable. A killer house red with soul to spare.
